I have a palm tree in my front lawn, which is coming upto the roof of the first floor.Since its very close to the walls,i am worried about its roots weekning the foundation or attracting termites.
Do i have to take some permission to get it cut?
If yes,how and what?
I am in state of California.
Do i have to take some official permission to cut a tall palm tree.?
Provided that the tree resides entirely on your property, you do not need permission from any government entity to remove it. That being said, if you live in a community with an active homeowners association, you may need permission.
There are no endangered palm species in the state of California.
Reply:Yes, you can trim it all you want. As for having it removed, unless it is an endangered species, I would think you could have the whole thing taken out. Even if it is an endangered plant, you could probably do it and not mention it....Happens all the time here in Florida.
