Screen cracked and can't start a hotsync from the unit itself, but want to synchronize my data before handing the unit over to the service people. Any way to do this from the Palm Desktop?
I've also tried to reassign the calendar button to perform the HotSync function. It now gives me a hotsync screen when pressed, but nothing happens thereafter.
Feeling increasingly desperate, so please help.

No you cannot start the sync from PC. One way to do hotsync would be to buy a docking cradle and use that to start hotsync
The crable has a button to start hotsync process.
