For example, if a beach is destroyed by a hurricane, and they need to plant little palm trees - how long until the palm trees are 20-plus feet tall again?
How fast do palm trees grow?
...since palm trees commonly grow 1-3 inches in a year... then maybe...
...converting 20 feet to inches (12 inches=1 feet)...
...240 years...^_^
...but seriously, for me, these trees could grow 20+ feet tall in the next 2-4 decades...
...according to the site below, palm trees need 2-3 months for their roots to establish and must be protected from cold temperatures but since the beach is destroyed by a hurricane, it will take a long time to have palm trees grow mature....

...hope these help^_^
Reply:well palm trees do not grow 1-3 inches a year, some can grow by more than a meter a year. But I assume you are talking about Coconuts (Cocos nucifera) in which case more like 20 years. Some Palms can grow to 30 feet in 7 to 8 years, so they are not all slow. Depends a lot on heat too.
