I have a PalmOne Zire72. The Palm pilot came with a cd to install realone player to tranfer music but my old computer broke and I lost the cd to install realone player(it's been a year or so since I bought the palm pilot). I can't find a download for realone player. I have real player on my new computer but it doesn't give me the option to transfer music to a palm pilot or to add a device. Please help
How can I transfer music from my computer to me Palm Pilot?
several ways.........
RECOMMENDED WAY:
use an SD card reader to directly transfer songs to SD card instead of doing it through RealPlayer. Put the SD card into the SD card reader, plug the SD card reader into your PC, and you can now drag and drop songs onto there (see note on Where below)
This is recommended since it's MUCH faster than hotysncing them over. With my old Zire 71, It was literally 15x - 20x faster for USB1 and USB2 connections respectively. I don't think it would be any faster for a T|E2 doing it through RealPlayer PC and hotsyncing. It's still much faster even at USB1.1 b/c the data during hotsyncing is done in packets with alot of error checking.
One concern with using this method is if u can organize and set up playlists on RealPlayer of PC and then directly transfer them over, then i'm not sure if those would transfer over. If it works like itunes, then probably not. If the playlists are just a bunch of individual playlist files like u see with winamp, you could just transfer those over along with your mp3 files and your PLs may still be intact.
Just be sure that all your mp3 files go into this folder of your SD card:
\Audio
IIRC, RealPlayer for Palm will play mp3's from anywhere within the Audio directory, even from subfolders inside audio like Audio\rock\beegees
and that playlists go into this directory
\RN_AUDIO\Playlist
THE OTHER WAY:
Altho I've tried and successfully transferred music to my old z71 via RealOne Player, that was many years ago.
According to this
http://www.realnetworks.com/industries/m...
You have RealOne Plyaer for Windows, you have RealOne Player for Palm on your z72, it looks like you're just missing the 3rd component... the windows plugin that let's u transfer the music files via hotsync, so my suggestion would be to install/reinstall/uninstall then reinstall RealPlayer for Windows. That oughtta let the that and RealOne Player for Palm back communicating with each other again.

Good luck!
