The screen on my Tungsten E2 has been cracked and palm charges $150 to fix it. I tried BestBuy, but they won't fix it either. Do any other companies do these kinds of repairs for cheaper?
Is the only way to fix a cracked palm pilot screen to send it straight to the manufacturer?
My palm screen broke and they are a piece of cake to fix. Get online or even ebay and put in your product number (stock no. of your tungsten) and you should find replacement parts.
Screen is matter of taking the 4 screws off the back of the palm. Once open the screen is just laying there inside a track and has one wire to unplug.
I bought a new screen for I think $38 bucks and had it fixed myself inside of 5 mins.
You will need some eye glass screwdrivers or electrician torque wrenches but some even come with the tool, mine did. If not Radio Shack carries the needed screw driver.

Reply:No isn't it covered under warranty? You might find someone that works on computers to fix it for you.
