I live in central Florida and I have a very large palm tree, about 50 ft in height, but I can't identify the species of palm. I always thought it was a king palm. Anyways, it is bearing an orange fruit that is about 1 inch in length. The fruits fell to the ground and I opened one up and gave it a tiny taste and spit it out just in case it wasn't edible. It tasted very good, kind of like sweet potato. Are the orange fruits edible? Are there any palms that produce poisonous orange fruits?
Are all orange fruits from palm trees edible?
I think they're edible, check this website.
