Is it difficult to take care of a Palm Tree?

After two negative experiences with a Bonsai tree, now I would like to try to take care of a Palm Tree. I have found a good resource about palm trees:

... but now I am wondering, is the Palm Tree really much easier compared to a Bonsai Tree?

Tell me about your experiences!

The area you live in is a big factor. Palms are very hearty and require minimal care. I would try a Sago Palm first, but (depending where you live) it must be brought indoors, like any palm, if temperatures dip to or below freezing. Here is some photos and info on the Sago Palm.

Hope this was helpful :-)
Reply:Palms trees are not difficult to grow. Try a coconut palm if you can find one. They do surprisingly well indoors.
Reply:We have many palm trees / plants and we grow them outdoors on the terrace in huge clay pots. They need little water and a lot of sun. Not difficult at all.
Reply:Go easy on water!
Reply:Try banana trees. Beautiful. Fast. Cheap. You can cut them off and store them inside in winter. They multiply. My sister plants them by her pool every summer and they are lush and beautiful.
